2024 Ford F-150 Gets Several Big Upgrades
Celebrating more than 75 years of history, the Ford F-Series line of pickup trucks has been the choice of more American truck buyers than any other line of pickups. For the 2024 model year, Ford is updating the F-150 with new styling, along with several other upgrades, including a newly available Pro Access Tailgate for increased utility.
The Pro Access Tailgate is the latest innovation Ford has made to the F-150’s tailgate, and provides easier access to the truck bed. With the ability to swing open, it allows for easier access in a variety of situations, including when towing and having a trailer jack in the way. There is also a new bed storage box option that is located behind the rear wheels, which can lock and is perfect for securely storing tools, tie-down straps, work gloves, and more.
When it comes to powertrain choices, Ford has everything you could ask for with the 2024 F-150. The 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine now comes standard, offering more horsepower and torque compared to the previous base engine. Additionally, truck buyers can get an F-150 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid, 3.5-liter High Output V6 (Raptor only), 5.0-liter V8, and 5.2-liter supercharged V8 (Raptor R only).
The 2024 Ford F-150 continues to be tough and capable with a fully boxed high-strength steel frame, and a military-grade aluminum alloy body. With best-in-class available payload and max towing capacity when properly equipped, the F-150 also outshines the competition when it comes to getting work done.
Ford is also proud to announce that the F-150 is the best-selling hybrid full-size pickup truck, with sales up over 28 percent in the first half of 2023. And with the goal to double hybrid F-150 production for the 2024 model, Ford hopes to make the F-150 one of the best-selling hybrids in America, regardless of segment.
